3Good chair, with caveatsMay 01, 2012
By Jeff in Davis
Bought two of these chairs for using on boats and on river trips. The former use is fine, the latter is a bust. The design is great, even clever, and the chair is comfortable and sturdy. Good for soccer games. I took two brand new chairs on a Grand Canyon river trip. They worked great the first day and then became almost impossible to use thereafter. The mechanism that guides the extension of the legs gets fine silt in it very easily. Once that happens, it is a herculean effort to set the chair up. And you practically have to jump on it to close it back up when this happens. The chairs were retired pretty quickly thereafter.

The verdict: good for soccer moms, not so good for rugged outdoor use.

5Great chair!Apr 04, 2009
By Douglas P. Tucker
I just bought 2 of these chairs for my class B camper (08 Pleasureway Ascent). They're the only chair I found that allows me to carry 2 in the limited storage space in my camper. These are also one of the most comfortable chairs I've found as well. Now that we have them I'm finding more uses for them. They're light weight and the carry case makes it convenient to carry the chairs as well as a book, laptop, and a cup of coffee along with you. It's great for urban hiking as well as around the state parks.

5Great Sitting ComfortOct 14, 2007
By My Opinion "For What It's Worth"
After reading the review that this chair received from the Wall Street Journal, I asked my wife to get it for me for my birthday. The chair arrived within a few days and it is everything that I expected.

Chair set-up is a little more difficult than expected, but after three or four tries it is no longer a problem. The chair is very sturdy and comfortable. Plenty of seat room makes it a pleasure to sit in.

I highly recommend this chair if you go to a lot of kids baseball and soccer games and other events such as concerts in the park like this grandpa does. It makes sitting through the game a pleasure. Unfortunately, the chair does not guarantee your team will win.

Adendum: After owning this chair for several years, I still think it is a great product. However, I have had occasion to carry this chair on hiking and fishing trips and I have to admit it gets pretty heavey after a while. Nine pounds may not sound like a lot, but after a few miles you will notice the weight, especially if you are carrying other objects.

1Outdoor chair? Actually no.Aug 03, 2013
By M.J. McClements
Even though I loved the concept and the chair was comfortable it cannot function as an outdoor chair unless outdoors means a flat clean patio or pavement. After about 3 outdoor uses it must have gotten a little dirt buildup in the telescoping legs so it no longer folds down. No amount of cleaning can fix it. This product cannot be realistically used in any outdoor setting where there is dirt sand or water. Returning it.

1Meh.Aug 11, 2013
By Steven H.
Pros: It's fancy, it's lightweight, it will impress your friends. Cons: Seat rail broke after 3 months (I weigh 190 lbs.) You can wave your receipt all day long, but the "Lifetime Warranty" is useless unless you register within a week of purchase. In the end, this cost me $10 each time I sat in it, which is pretty awful.
